Welcome to Victoria's 4th Annual 5k Bubble Run/Walk

Our 4th Annual 5-K was held on June 25th, 2011.

This beautiful, sunny day started out with a blessing by Monsignor John Hopkins. The runners and walkers began shortly after his blessing.  The children who participated were very excited because Swoop was here again to cheer them on in their kiddie race.

Although the heat was uncomfortable, everyone was determined to finish. And they did!

The race took place at Villages at Fairview Farms development, Middletown, De. We truly appreciated having our volunteers Rick and Dennis from the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company for the time they took to just be on hand should a medical emergency arise.  Having you guys there was a comfort and relief.

After the winners were announced and given their medals, all were invited back to the Flick’s house for fun activities!  Once again, Famous Dave’s did a superb job in catering our event and was enjoyed by all.  Thank you Wilbur for coming too! Our DJ, Ed from Above and Beyond had the crowd participating in the many fun in the sun dances and pool stunts.  The best was the belly flop game!  He kept everyone entertained and upbeat all afternoon .The kiddies enjoyed the many games they played in the shade and were eager to be winners and receive prizes.

The Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation would like to give a big “SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF OUR SPONSORS” who supported our Foundation. This event and fun-filled day would not have been possible if it wasn’t for all of you.  Your generosity has not gone unnoticed over the years and has touched the many lives of those less fortunate to afford medical equipment. We sure spread a lot of sunshine on June 25th!

Our VOLUNTEERS and BOARD MEMBERS– THANK YOU all for your undivided love, support and commitment.   Attending meetings, the set up, the shut down, the planning alone for this day is because of you all.  Your dedication to our Foundation is more than words can express.  We are overwhelmed with gratitude.

So to sum it up, thank you everyone who helped make this event take off and grow each year with flying colors! The day was surrounded by good people supporting a great cause!
