Saturday June 27, 2009 The Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation hosted our Second Annual 5K Bubble Run/Walk .
The day began with a blessing from Father John Hopkins of Saint Margaret Catholic Church in Bear, De. Thank you Father Hopkins!
The children and Swoop, the Eagles Mascot had a lot of fun running the Kiddy K.
Nearly one hundred runners/walkers participated in this year’s event. Swoop cheered everyone through the course and to the finish line. Thank you Swoop, you kept us going!

The Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation presented Jyuan Morse with a Freedom Concepts Bicycle. John G. Leach School was also presented with a TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR ($2,000.00) check to be used toward the school.
Following the 5K, over one hundred supporters gathered for our post race celebration. Famous Dave’s catered the event. The food was delicious!! The staff was incredible. They jumped right in and had a blast with us. Wilbur entertained us and danced with us too! Thank you Dave’s Famous staff and Wilbur the pig. See you next Year!
The children’s activities were a huge hit with the little ones! No child walked away disappointed. Thank you Aunt Dawn (Doe Doe) and Mom!
The Eagles Cheerleaders, Heather and Rita stopped by to pose for pictures and hand some lucky raffle winners their Eagles Raffle Prizes! Thank you girls! You did a fabulous job!
Above and Beyond Entertainment provided us with the music, dance and games. Thank you Ed, for your entertainment, the hysterical games, your prizes and of course, the music!
The raffles were over flowing, the food, games, music and dance were nonstop. To sum it up, it was a beautiful day, surrounded by good people celebrating a great cause! Thank you everyone! Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation thanks you for all your support!
