Over 200 Supporters attend our 3rd Annual 5K Bubble Run/Walk, 2010
The Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation helds its Third Annual 5K Bubble Run/Walk on Saturday, June 26th, 2010. It was a very successful event with over one hundred race participants and over two hundred in attendance for the Post Race Celebration.
The heat was brutal as the registration began at eight thirty Saturday morning. Thank you to Starbucks and Pretzel Boys for your generous donations of coffee and pretzels!
Thank you, Monsignor Hopkins from Saint Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church for beginning the day again this year with a beautiful and heartfelt blessing.
As Victoria’s 5K Bubble Run began a little after nine, the sun continued to beat on our backs, challenging many determined runners and walkers to cross the finish line. Swoop, the Eagles mascot seemed to hold up pretty well, considering all the fur he wears. Thank you, Swoop; we appreciate you cheering the crowd on! (more…)
