The Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation
Celebrated Our First Annual Pig Roast Fund Raiser.
With more then one hundred family and friends in attendance, Victoria Flick’s Friends Foundation presented $11,000.00 to three special organizations:
- Variety, the children’s charity- Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars
- John G. Leach School- Two Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars
- The Sunshine Foundation- One Thousand Dollars
Father John Hopkins, pastor of Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, Glasgow Delaware, began the event with a blessing. Father Hopkins came into our lives in April of 2000 as he christened Victoria Catherine Flick. Father Hopkins also spent many afternoons comforting our family and friends sharing stories of Victoria, our faith, our great loss and our tears. He also held a beautiful and touching final service for our Victoria. Father Hopkins will always be an extended member of our family.
Kicking off the festivities were uncle Joe DiPierro and Paul Crothers carving the 200 lb. Pig. Mustache Jacuzzi played songs from the 1970’s to present. The band also donated their afternoon for Victoria’s Fundraiser. There was a dunk tank, clown for the children, games, prizes, and raffles donated from many restaurants and businesses, from Pennsylvania and Delaware. (more…)
